Centre for Environmental Governance opens at the University of Canberra

January 2023, The Centre for Environmental Governance opens at the University of Canberra. The Centre’s core research themes focus on (1) natural resource management and water governance, and (2) climate change, disaster recovery and resilience, and wellbeing. The themes prioritise applied research partnerships with key government, industry, university and stakeholder organisations, both domestically and internationally, underpinned by the ‘social-environment nexus’.

The Centre for Environmental Governance acknowledges the Ngunnawal people, traditional custodians of the lands where Bruce campus is situated. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of Canberra and the region. We also acknowledge all other First Nations Peoples on whose lands we gather.
