Examining the environmental policy of the Morrison years

Just published by the University of New South Wales, The Morrison Government: Governing through crisis, 2019-2022, features two chapters from members of the Centre, including:

‘Navigating cumulative disaster: Drought, bushfire, flood and pandemic’ by Lain Dare and Jacki Schirmer, and

'Weekends and Wars: The Stalling of climate change policy in Australia' by Darren Sinclair and Jo Mummery

Edited by fellow academics at the University of Canberra, Brendan McCaffrie, Michelle Grattan and Chris Wallace, the book examines the multiple crises that Australians saw during the Morrison years, and discusses the impact of the policies made, abolished and stalled during this period, and what that meant for the environment.

The Centre for Environmental Governance acknowledges the Ngunnawal people, traditional custodians of the lands where Bruce campus is situated. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of Canberra and the region. We also acknowledge all other First Nations Peoples on whose lands we gather.
